David PineHigh Commissioner to India and Bangladesh, and Ambassador designate to Nepal
David is an experienced diplomat. He was New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam from March 2011 until taking a break from the foreign service in December 2014. He had previously served in New York, Canberra, Kuala Lumpur and as Ambassador to the Philippines (2006-2008). In Wellington, he held a number of policy roles, including as the Director of MFAT’s Economic Division.
H.E. Muktesh PardeshiHigh Commissioner of India to New Zealand
Mr. Muktesh K. Pardeshi has been serving as the High Commissioner of India to New Zealand since 2019.
He was Ambassador of India to Mexico from April 2016 to June 2019. He concurrently also served as High Commissioner to Belize. During his tenure, India-Mexico ´Privileged Partnership ’saw huge advancement: bilateral trade increased from $ 5.9 bn in 2015 to $ 10.15 bn in 2018 registering 75% growth over 3 years.

He is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Invest India, the National Investment
Promotion and Facilitation Agency promoted by the Government of India. Invest India is also
the execution agency for Start-up India and the Prime Minister’s Science and Technology

He is a member of CII’s two bodies: International Trade Policy Council and Africa Committee. He served as Chair of FICCI’s Core Group of Experts on BIMSTEC and continues to head its Task Force on the Blue Economy. He is a founding member of the Kalinga International Foundation. As Director General of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) from 2012-15, he played a key role in strengthening India's Track-II research.

He is the Managing Director of CEMIX, an iconic Kiwi brand manufacturing innovative construction products for over 35 years. He is also on the board of six other companies.

Ravi Udaya Bhaskar joined the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India (Pharmexcil) as the Director General in 2017.
Presently Mr. Bhaskar is the also Honorary Director General of All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation (AIDCOC). In 2019, he was elected as 71st President of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association.

Ralph is New Zealand's Trade Commissioner and Consul-General in Mumbai and leads NZTE's activities across India and the wider South Asia.
He has served across several different markets during his time with NZTE, including as New Zealand's Trade Commissioner and Consul-General to Brazil based in São Paulo, and as a business development manager for Spain and Portugal based in Madrid.

Grant Elliott is a retired New Zealand Cricketer currently positioned as a General Manager for My Action Sport/CricHQ, the world's largest digital platform for cricket.
Grant is a former NZ Blackcaps team member. He was born in South Africa and arrived on the New Zealand shores in 2003.
He has played over 100 games for the blackcaps and enjoyed success on the international stage particularly with white ball cricket.

Suzannah joined the Asia New Zealand Foundation in March 2019, after serving as New Zealand’s Deputy High Commissioner to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Deputy Ambassador to Nepal and as New Zealand’s Deputy High Commissioner to Vanuatu. During her thirteen years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, she also served in the Ministry’s Australia, Pacific and Europe Divisions.

Dr. Manjeet S. Pardesi is a Senior Lecturer in the Political Science and International Relations Programme and Asia Research Fellow at the Centre for Strategic Studies at Victoria University of Wellington
He obtained his PhD in Political Science from Indiana University, Bloomington (IUB). He has an MSc in Strategic Studies, a BEng (Electrical & Electronic), both from NTU, Singapore.

Esther joined MIA as the Senior Manager Strategy, Trade Policy and Advocacy in February 2021.
Prior to joining MIA she was Senior Manager International Trade at Beef + Lamb New Zealand Ltd where she gained a solid understanding of the sector and the trade policy issues it faces.
Esther joined the sector with a background in trade policy and trade negotiations following a diplomatic career at the MFAT.

Michael leads Zespri’s external communications, stakeholder engagement, policy, global tours and events and community investment programmes.
He joined Zespri after a career in Parliament as a Press Secretary and Chief Press Secretary to former Prime Ministers Sir John Key and Sir Bill English and Opposition Leader Simon Bridges. Prior to that he was a journalist with Fairfax Media in Auckland and Wellington.
